The door
made a loud but steady creak as it opened. I immediately realised that my
classroom was empty...
Where are my
classmates? I dropped my palm cards in a flash when I examined the situation. I
ran as fast as lightning to the other classes but they were as empty as mine.
My heart was beating like a drum and I felt dizzy from confusion.
I forced my
weak legs across the hallway as I bumped into some one. "Ouch! Watch where
you're going, you can hurt some one really bad", exclaimed familiar voice. "Patty!", I sighed
with relief, "I thought that the entire school was empty". "Lucy, I thought no one was here too,
maybe we're the only people here", Patty answered back, "scary,
right?"
FIZZ! All
the lights went out. Patty and I quickly grabbed onto each other and prayed,
well I did, Patty might've been a little annoyed because we could be caught by
whoever made the people in school vanish. A man with a welding mask and torch
approached us, he had a very gruff voice. Patty and I screamed.
“What are you
girls doing here!”, the man bellowed. “We are here for our speeches”, I
answered back. “Speeches are not delivered until next week”, he replied. We
looked at a poster ‘speeches are delivered on Thursday 21st of July
5:00pm’ , today is 14th of July. “Oops!”, we giggled nervously. “By
the way, I am your teacher under the mask, I wonder what scared you, I was just
fixing the lights”, he bellowed again, “See you tomorrow”.
ROAR! A ferocious roaring sound came from a distance. “Mr Brown, don’t try to prank us we are not stupid”, Patty rolled her eyes. “That wasn’t me”, he whimpered. We looked at each other and screamed. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
